APOSTOLIC MINISTRY IN ACTIONWe are able to testify to apostolic ministry in action: Teams
go out every week to minister in outlying areas; Teaching
and training happens continually at SHILOH. On Saturday 21st we had a training day which was attended by about 30 adults. The first session was in the form of a workshop where folks answered questions, shared answers and then gave feedback to the group. Many people commented on the encouragement they receive at SHILOH to use their ministry gifts and the revelation that they receive through the apostolic teaching. People also shared their appreciation of the love and acceptance that they find in the family atmosphere at SHILOH. On Sunday 22nd in the morning, brethren were involved in four church meetings: at SHILOH, in two small country towns within 25 kms of Toowoomba and in another town 200 kms away. One of these closer house churches started Sunday morning meetings earlier this year. They meet with local families in their own area. Every 5-6 weeks they come to a Sunday meeting at SHILOH as the ministry team. These have been wonderful meetings as all the gifts in the members of the house church, from the youngest to the oldest, are released into the larger body. The other local house church has been meeting for a little over a month now with five committed members as the church planting team. We are seeing the outworking of the strategy to actively plant the church in the midst of every local community. On Monday 23rd a team of four travelled to Wondai, a country town, to minister in a house church 200 kms away. Again this is a house church that reaches the neighbours. The unsaved father of the young family that have been coming to Eleanor and Lloyd’s home, came with his boys because they asked him to come. The house church hosts were rewarded to see this man sit and listen to the songs and the gospel message and become involved. That was a big breakthrough. On Tuesday 24th Ps. Peter
and Lezette De Bressac and their son Jonathon travelled south
from Toowoomba six hours to minister in a house church in Tamworth.
On Wednesday the same team continued three hours further on to a
house church in Dorrigo and on Thursday travelled to Mullumbimby
to visit another friendly house before returning to Toowoomba
on Friday. Ps. Lezette reports, ‘We experienced the Acts
2 church of fellowship, prayer, the apostolic doctrine and communion
in each place. Our visit was of a pastoral nature and we experienced
sonship in action. In each place we felt we were among family. In
the ‘family’ atmosphere we were able to see the fruit of the Spirit
in the lives of the people and we were blessed by the humbleness of
their hearts and their teachable spirits.’ Further house church ministry in a country
town: on Tuesday
24th another team of four travelled to a country town 200
kms away to minister in a house church where they experienced wonderful
fellowship with the local folk who gathered with them. Apostolic training day: on Saturday 28th a team was invited
to Killarney for a day of teaching, followed by a Sunday morning meeting
with Ros and Roger Fraser, Restoration and Revival Ministries. Over
30 people attended the three sessions on Saturday. This was a very
rewarding and well-received visit. The first session laid a foundation
of the five-fold ministry from Eph. 4 and looked at the signposts to
maturity listed in v.13-16. Many responded to the opportunity
to step into sonship following the teaching on Becoming Sons
and the teaching on Jesus our Apostle brought further revelation.
God has given a vision to this group to plant churches in 33 surrounding
towns. They are poised to do this with an evangelist commissioned
to go out, a pastoral base to give support and now a link with an
apostolic team who can give covering, support and further teaching
as the churches become established. A team overseas: the
Lord has blessed us to be doing the work of the ministry in our own
nation and sending us to the nations. Ps. Jean Manning and her husband
Bruce have just returned from a ministry trip into Myanmar [Burma],
in Asia. They bring greetings from many brothers and sisters there. Jean
has been teaching apostolic doctrine in four different discipleship
training schools. The church in Myanmar is advancing as Jesus said
it would (Matthew 16:18) as so many have dedicated their lives
to serve Him. Pastor Jean writes “We watched as God brought
revelation and conviction upon His word through the messages; as He
brought healings and salvation, and as He released the Holy Spirit
to empower lives to witness unto Him. Truly we are receiving a spiritual
kingdom that cannot be shaken as Jesus builds His church with obedient
followers.” Brethren in Africa: In
East Africa, related spiritual sons have continued to do the work
of the ministry. Apostle Peter Akeck has had numerous opportunities
to teach the apostolic doctrine to pastors and leaders in dedicated
seminars; in his home city of Kakamega he is working with Ps. Julius
Chemiat to plant numerous house churches. Apostle George Muteti has
been sowing the word in local house churches in his area in West Kenya,
and as we write is embarking on another trip to Rwanda and Goma DRC.
He is unable to travel into Burundi because of recent fighting.
One of our brothers in Rwanda actually lost relatives in the recent
massacre in Burundi. Rev Mbugwa and Ps. Theresa Omoto are hosting
an apostolic training school in Nairobi in November, and recently
held an apostolic teaching seminar for 40 leaders. Ps Peter Wekesa
in Kitale is working with many bishops and pastors to establish apostolic
Christianity in their area, and recently have been effectively distributing
some basic famine relief to needy families. We are enormously encouraged
by many other brethren in African nations who relate to us via email.
One school in Nairobi is now using some of our manuals for their training. ‘WALKING IN OUR INHERITANCE’: Paul’s book is nearing completion.
We have set a deadline to have the book ready for a book-launch luncheon
on Friday 24th September. Revelation continues to flow
as the chapters are being read and reviewed. This book brings a very
current, relevant and challenging word for these days. The chapters
of the book are: 1. Becoming Sons; 2. Becoming part of an
apostolic company; 3. The mystery of the church; 4. Jesus
our Apostle; 5. Walking in our Inheritance; 6. Day of
the Saints; 7. Ruling and Reigning with Christ. Please
pray with us that the final editing, printing and binding of the book
will go smoothly. SEED
SOWING MINISTRY – from the beginning of RMA
in 1998, we have felt that the word of God should be made freely available
to all people. For that reason we have never charged fees for any
of our seminars, teaching days or trainings schools. We have always
freely given away our manuals
and teaching materials in the overseas countries that we visit,
and more recently we have given away our manuals here in Australia.
Tapes and CDs are now also freely available. God has called us to
be a seed-sowing ministry. 2 Cor.9:8 “And God is able
to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency
in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 9 As it is written: ‘He
has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness
endures forever.’ 10-11 Now may he who supplies
seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed
you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while
you are enriched in everything for liberality, which causes thanksgiving
through us to God.” The word ‘supplies’
means to supply fully or abundantly, generously provide what is needed,
to cover the costs completely. Our hearts have been enlarged to freely
sow the word of God through seminars, training schools, discipleship
classes, printed manuals, tapes and CDs and on line through our website;
and now through the book ‘Walking in our Inheritance’. We are self-publishing
and intend to sow the book without charge to ministers and saints
who are willing to explore the apostolic teaching more fully.
